one man's sin

Romans 5

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned

One mans sin brought sin on all man, it brought eternal death upon on whether they ask for it or not. everyone is born with the sin nature and is condemned to a life in hell. Sin and death were passed upon on all men because of Adom's sin. There was no hope only death and destruction were to follow Adom's sin. We see the consciences of on mans disobedience toward God.

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law)
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come

Even with no law (the law given to Moses) to transgress, Man was still a sinner during this period man was still under death and suffered death. Even with out sin being imputed in man, man was still under death and lost with no hope.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many

But there was a remedy for sin. By one man's sin all were condemned and by one Man's righteousness and death on the Cross that may be forgiven for the sin and saved into eternal life though Jesus Christ our Lord.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous

.20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jesus gives us a free gift of eternal life through him. He wishes to save us from eternal death and to lift the death penalty from us. all we have to do is turn to Him and ask for His forgiveness and follow Him to eternal Life. The law was given that the offences might abound But where sin abounded the Grace of God abounded so much more.
I am thankful for the Grace of God. I am thankful for Jesus saving my soul and restoring me that i may have eternal life in Him that bought me with His redeeming Blood.

Hebrews 2
9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

As i studied these verses I was struck by how through one man sin all were condemned but through Jesus sacrifice, all were given the the gift of eternal life. All we have to do is accept that gift that Jesus has given to us.
Praise be to God !!
