May we as father's be rooted in Jesus

Colossians 2

6 As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: 7 Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.  8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ

My prayer O' Lord is that we as your people will keep our eyes on you and follow after your precepts and be fully rooted in You. Let us focus on Your word and on spreading the news that You alone O'Lord can and will save from sin. May we walk not worried with the affairs of the world, but be concerned with those who are lost and on there way to hell. Let us not be draw-en in to the traditions of men or wrapped up in the theology of a movement but fully focused on Your Word and on Your Truth. May we lean on You and only look to You , our Savoir and Redeemer to keep us on the strait and narrow way. May we not be a tumbleweed Christian rolling about with every wind of doctrine, But may we have our roots fully in Your word. Your message is still the same today as it was when You walk this earth, Let us got and teach all nations and baptize them in Your name. May You give us the courage, faith and the wisdom to face a wicked and lost world, to Show Your love and why You came to earth to seek and to save that witch was Lost. Lord let us never forget where we where when You found us and picked us up out of the miry clay, That sinful place we once were until Your redeeming Grace lifted us and Saved us from our sin. Thank You Lord for Your abundance of mercy and Love that You have shown us Your Children. Amen
